I am a freelance translator and conference interpreter. Born and raised in Milan, I began my studies and my professional career in Italy, furthering my education in France, Spain, Australia and the UK, where I specialised in Conference Interpreting with a Master of Arts from London Metropolitan University. At the moment, I am based in Barcelona.
I am a certified conference interpreter and translator and I work mainly in the Milan market, according to clients’ needs.
I have always been passionate about languages. During my Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Literatures in Università degli Studi di Milano, in Italy, I spent one semester in Université de Poitiers (France) thanks to a European student exchange programme.
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2011 and as an interpreter since 2015, after I completed my Master in Conference Interpreting at London Metropolitan University. My MA dissertation focused on the similarities between the professions of interpreting and that of acting. The starting point of my research was the well-known Stanislavsky training method, according to which the actor should feel a connection with the character of the play in order to fully embody it. I retraced this pattern in the relationship of the interpreter with the speaker. (“What if Stanislavski goes in the booth?”A parallel between Interpreting studies and Drama, 2015).
I attend Continous professional development events and skill specialisation workshops and courses on a regular basis, in order to always be up to date and aligned with the highest professional standards. For example, I successfully completed the Advanced Conference Interpreting Course for EU/UN Accreditation Test, an annual course organised by LondonMet.
I am a member of APTIC (Asociación Profesional de Traductores e Intérpretes de Cataluña) and an aggregate member of AITI (Associazione Italiana Traduttori e Interpreti), and I work in accordance with the Codes of Conduct of these associations.

Consecutive interpreting services during conferences, press conferences and bilateral meetings. The interpretation is rendered after the speaker’s original speech (generally, with the aid of notes).

This is the ideal solution whenever interpreting is required for a considerable number of delegates, but the meeting circumstances do not allow the installation of a booth.
